Hi folks,

I am looking for some direction/help regarding load cases that should be considered when doing a casing design for a well that Hydraulic fracturing is planned. I am not doing the tubing design/analysis, so it is just what load cases I should consider that will affect my casing design.

Possible load cases i should consider:
  • Tubing leak during the frac job
  • Cooling affect on tension (axial loading)
  • Burst loading on production casing below the production packer
  • Collapse loading on production casing (poor zonal isolation/cement job)
  • Axial loading on wellhead due to high surface pressures

Are there other load cases i should consider?
Does anyone have guidelines for casing design that covers hydraulic fracturing?

Thanks a lot
