SPREAD - Sharing Practices Rigorously, Easily Accelerates Delivery

During a RFI one of the vendors we are looking at for supplying chemical injection valves brought up an interesting scenario.
They mentioned the possibility of drainage in the chemical injection line and the consequent potential for “boiling” of chemicals and crystals plugging the injection line.
Their explanation for the drainage is that with the increased draw down with the ESP pumps there is potential for the pressure at the mandrel (in the control line) to be higher than the tubing pressure at depth, therefore allowing draining and boiling to occur.

Have any of the member ever heard/have experience of this scenario or control line blockages due to chemicals?
